Grant Dyson
My specialist areas are travel, the outdoors, and tourism – but I’ll take on any assignment.
What I can offer:
I’m a flexible writer, just as comfortable turning out a travel piece, or a business press release. My services include writing website copy, features and press releases, proof reading and book editing, and ‘how to handle the media’ workshops.
My background includes work as a reporter, sub-editor, public relations consultant, polytechnic broadcast tutor and media trainer. Jobs have ranged from chief reporter for Hauraki Herald and Radio New Zealand Tauranga, to editor of citynews.co.nz, environmental reporter Radio Television Hong Kong, and investigative business reporter for the Sunday Star (preceded Sunday Star Times).
I'm a part-time public awareness advisor with Fish & Game, and a nationally published writer. I co-wrote and edited New Zealand Surfers (Penguin) and other publications include The Best of Tauranga guide book (Sarah Bennett Books), and a media training manual The Media Opportunity.
You'll find I'm reliable, accurate and deadline conscious.
